Camp Kingsley

Camp Kingsley is located in Ava, NY and run by our Leatherstocking Council. It hosts multiple Cub Scout and Scouts BSA events throughout the year. It is a wonderful place to introduce families to camping while including amenities such as hot showers, washer and dryer, gift shop with slushies for kids (and adults - Amy has made coffee and apple cider slushies for us "big kids" this year) and great meals in the dining hall courtesy of the wonderful Chef Ron. Our pack stays in the Seneca site and usually hosts the evening site campfire with Smore's and hot dogs, because they just taste better over and open fire. Although rank advancement is not the focus of Camp Kingsley activities, your Scout will be ahead of the game for some requirements and electives. We hope you will join us on our next adventure at Camp Kingsley!

How to "Break it Down"

At the end of most meals, the camp staff do a cheer called "Break Down". Learn it in this video with Zach and break it down at your next trip to camp!

Fall Family Camp • October 5-6, 2024
This is the Leatherstocking's Fall Family Camp. This event is open to the whole family. Please bring all your Scouts and siblings. The theme is "Magic" and there will be a costume contest and trick or treating around the camp.

AOL Weekend • October 18-19, 2024 (Formerly Webelos Woods)
Our new AOL Weekend is focused on providing an fun-filled Weekend for our Arrow Of Light Youth. The weekend starts Friday night with the formation of Patrols. Scouts will pick a patrol name, make a flag, and get to know their fellow members. Scouts will spend the weekend learning Arrow of Light and Scouts BSA level Scouting Skills. They will learn about knife safety, camp gadgets, cooking and take part in patrol activities to name a few.

Gaming Weekend Cub Day • November 9, 2024
Events include: Playground, Team-building Games, Human Foosball, Escape the Tent, Gaga Ball, Campwide Kickball, Marbles, Can Jam, Horseshoes, Lawn bowling, Kubb, Classic Family Board Games
